Armadillo IFV
Although it does not excel in any particular way, the Armadillo remains a mainstay in Militias, Planetary Defense Forces and Mercenary Companies. It’s low cost and robust design make it easy to acquire and easy to maintain. The sizable Troop Bay allows for flexibility and its complement of four machine guns, two facing forward and one to either side, allow it to support the carried troopers but don’t pose a significant threat to armored targets.
The IFV upgrade increases the Armadillo's weight but provides it with a turreted weapon mount allowing it to further support its escorts or infantry payload. The Armadillo is mostly seen armed with either an extra light cannon for work in open areas or Medium sized Rocket Launcher and an additional pair of machine guns, most suitable for urban and other dense environments.
